The Embassy of the State of Qatar in the United Republic of Tanzania held a ceremony on the occasion of the state's national day in the presence of HE Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs in Tanzania Dr. Damas Daniel Ndumbaro (Representative of government), HE Minister of Tourism and Heritage of the Government of Zanzibar Simai Mohamed Said, HE Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Tanzanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Fatma Mohammed Rajab, along with the heads of the diplomatic missions in the Republic of Tanzania, members of the diplomatic corps and a host of businessmen and media professionals.

In his remarks, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the United Republic of Tanzania Hussain bin Ahmad Al Homaid welcomed the attendees, pointing out that such occasion reflects the cohesion and coherence of the people of Qatar and demonstrates the meanings of pride and loyalty to the ancestors and their sacrifices.

He pointed out that the celebration of the national day this year comes under the slogan "Our unity is source of our strength", which underscores the approach of the people of the State of Qatar based on solidarity and cohesion in countering the challenges and achieving the goals, noting that the celebration this year gain special significance with the State of Qatar's hosting the FIFA World Cup, and the two events constitute an opportunity to highlight the unity and culture of the people of Qatar to the world, indicating that the hosting aims to present a crucial message from the great Arab world to the entire world, as the tournament enabled the display of the civilized identity of the State of Qatar.

HE Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs in Tanzania Dr. Ndumbaro delivered a speech in which he extended the congratulation to the State of Qatar on the occasion of the national day, and its resounding success in hosting the world cup tournament, lauding the Qatar-Tanzanian ties.

The ceremony was punctuated by a patriotic song performed by a group of girls that received the admiration of the attendees.
